Privacy Policy

1. The short version. You can listen without an account, and we don't sell your personal information. We collect what we need to run the Service, and not much else.

2. What we collect.

  • Guests: standard technical logs (IP address, device/browser type, pages and streams accessed) used for operating, securing, and improving the Service.
  • Account holders: the information you give us — email, name, and for business/broadcast accounts, your company and location details (used to provision your station, localize news, and provide the Service).
  • Content you submit: announcement text, shout-out details, uploaded audio, and similar material you create through the Service.
  • Usage data: which stations and features are used, to operate and improve the Service.

3. What we don't do. We don't sell your personal information. We don't use your private content to advertise to third parties. Listening as a guest requires no registration.

4. Service providers. We use trusted infrastructure providers to run Groovie — hosting and databases (Railway, Vercel, Hetzner), audio storage and delivery (Cloudflare), voice and audio generation (ElevenLabs and licensed generation services), and email delivery (SendGrid, sending from hello@groovie.live). When paid plans are active, payments will be processed by a payment provider (such as Stripe); we won't store your full card details ourselves. These providers process data only to provide their service to us.

5. Cookies and local storage. We use minimal local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We don't run third-party advertising trackers on the Service.

6. Data retention and deletion. We keep account data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service or meet legal obligations. You can request access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@groovie.live; we'll respond within a reasonable time.

7. Children. The Service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Our Groovie Kids content is programming for families, not a children's data service.

8. Changes. We'll post updates here with a new date; material changes will be highlighted.
